SYMPTOM EXPERIENCE PADA ANAK KANKER DI YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak


Gejalaumumyang banyakdialamianak dengan kanker meliputinyeri, kelelahan (fatigue), mual, muntah, batuk, anoreksiadangejalapsikologis. Munculnyagejala ini secara signifikan berdampak pada pengalaman gejalatermasuksemua beban gejala yang dialami anak. Prevalensi yang lebih besar yaitusebanyak 34% adalah mual, kelelahan, nafsu makan menurun, nyeri, dan rasamengantuk(Miller et al., 2011). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya gambaran symptom experience pada anak kanker di Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif non eksperimentaldengan pendekatancross sectional. Pemilihan sampling dengan consecutive sampling dengan sampel 36 responden. Instrumen penliaan dengan  Universal Pain Assessment Tool yaitu wong-Baker Fasial Crimace Scale, Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse events (CTCAE), fatique numeric rating scale, dan Insomnia Severity Index  (ISI) . Analisis data distribusi frekwensi dengan taraf signifikan yang digunakan yaitu 0,05. Hasil didapatkan Adanya pengalaman gejala (symptom experience) yaitu nyeri, mual/muntah, kelelahan/fatique serta gangguan tidur. Prosesntasi gejala yang dirasakan anak kanker  yaitu adanya gangguan tidur sejumlah 80,6%, kelelahan atau fatique 77,8%, nyeri 66,7% dan mual/muntah 50,0%.
